Rainbow carrots at the Market Feb 3rd!

There’s no excuse not to eat the rainbow in phytonutrients with our beautiful red, yellow, purple and white carrots joining the produce line-up.  White, yellow and purple carrots have been in cultivation for centuries before the orange variety .  The now common orange carrots was developed in the 17th century by the Dutch to honour Wiliam of Orange who led them to independence following a triumphant revolt against the Spanish in the late 1500’s.  Fascinating how politics contributes to what’s on our forks!
